BREAKING: DC reports 70 #COVIDー19 deaths at long term care facilities. Up from 14 on April 22, the last time DC provided data. That’s almost 1/4 of the 258 deaths. @nbcwashington https://twitter.com/SegravesNBC4/status/1252979710482501633 …pic.twitter.com/emK7hdLjgL

And that looks like just a list of the nursing facilities. Look how big the number is if you more appropriately define “long term care” broadly and factor in St Elizabeths and the various intermediate care facilities that are under DDS.

That’s anywhere from another 11 to 30 (numbers uncertain bc DDS doesn’t seem to be saying how many of the 19 people who died were in intermediate care facilities, but some would be). That’s more like 31% to 38% of deaths.

wish they will test all residents and employees like MD....instead of sending families the same poorly written letter when its another case...and have personnel working all floors spreading it further

@MayorBowser so when will all nursing home residents be tested....how long will staff spread it to other residents...what is dc plan beyond allowing this population to have minimal protection...when will their facilities get major disinfectant cleaning
