    Seriously?

    Why can't the Police confidently identify hoax explosives on a person? We've seen incidents involving hoax explosive belts enough now. A sniffer dog could surely be trained to distance itself or confirm a negative concern.

    I’m seeing a lot of references to “harm” and “hurt” being invoked in celebrations of Katie Hopkins’ removal from the platform. Ultimately, we’re talking about words, and the invocations are therefore about feelings, nothing more.

    Any police got thoughts on this? It worries me that we might be creating tiers of importance to PCs. Some coppers deserve more protection than others? Also how do you determine genuine question from insult? The language used to me is not deliberately offensive.

    I was hesitant about this at first because 1) it’s the Mail, and 2) the headline has a hysterical whiff. But it seems that the story fits the headline. An autistic teenager was fined £590 for shouting twice ”is it a boy or is it a girl?” At a PCSO

    Actress endorses a book she hasn't read because another celebrity gave it a stamp of approval, then withdraws endorsement and denounces book she still hasn't read while praising the mob for correcting her wrongthink. Just another day in America 2020.

    So happy reflected and corrected her support of this book. I hope others do too.

    There is no gender equality in Islam, this is demonstrated both in the political prescriptions of the Quran itself, and the manifestations of Islam practised in the real world. Pretending otherwise would be laughable if it wasn’t quite so serious. End.

    The justification of domestic violence in an instruction to “strike” one’s woman, some might think, runs against the claimed “respect and dignity” above. Volumes have been written on this one passage (Sura 4:34), talking of “context”. The words are as plain as anything, however.

    This “equality in the best form” boils down to Islam removing the choices of individual families to manage their lives themselves, again basing its prescriptions on biological differences.
