Today we’re telling drug companies they have to come clean to patients about the cost of their drugs: It’s time to put the prices in your TV ads. Transparency for American patients is here.https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2019/05/08/hhs-finalizes-rule-requiring-manufacturers-disclose-drug-prices-in-tv-ads.html …

Exactly how is it supposed to help people who have no choice but to take a particular drug, like insulin—for which there is evidence that the only 3 manufacturers have colluded in price—what the cost is? You are just transparently lying about what it will do. Nothing. Keep lying.

It’s so great that you, who where one of the colluders on insulin prices as Lilly CEO, just keep on lying about drug prices. You have no shame.

To that end, when you were at Eli Lilly, can you explain how “shadow pricing” insulin products with your competitor companies to within pennies of each other doesn’t constitute an antitrust violation that should be investigated by the @FTC?

Be good to also let people know about actual R&D costs, and actual federal subsidies.

James, you're spot-on. Regarding R&D, our federal funding is proportionally MUCH lower than most other countries' federal funding. And it costs MILLIONS to produce a new drug, privately. Much R&D is private here, with the exception of Rx that is of "great importance" to society.

When we implement #MedicareForAll then we're going to finally get the transparency we need in conjunction with having the tools to negotiate drug prices like other countries do. Then we'll realize the long overdue savings on pharmaceuticals. #Bernie2020 #NotMeUs

Will they also be disclosing their rebate prices as well? That would be handy information to have as well.

Stop the consumer direct drug ads completely- what purpose do they serve?

So everyone can know how much the drug companies are profiting without any action by the government to lower those prices. You think this is a real action, don't you, Azar?

This VERY unrealistic/ impossible, America must understand that pricing isn't uniform & that there are several factors incl middlemen, insurance co.& pharmacies. It's time to be transparent from manufacturer to the checkout line. FIX issue not offer quip or PR spin #drugpricing
