A1: As we combat the opioid crisis, we can't forget pain is a problem. Severe pain affects a broad spectrum of Americans. We must do a better job to secure safe, effective options to manage pain. Learn about our pain management task force: https://go.usa.gov/xP2YD  #PainMonth18

I'm not sure if you've known anyone with CRPS it is top on the McGill pain index. It's also called the "suicide disease", there is a reason for this. When the simple touch of a breeze makes you scream in agony, it's life changing. Part 1

Please know that medication does not take away the pain, that will never happen until there is a cure. What it does do is helps me cook for my kids, gets me out of bed, helps me get dressed, put on a brave face. I can go on and on but the fact of the matter is, taking medication

We do not have time for you to discover options. We need help now! Those of us who have been forcibly tapered have taken opioids for years/decades with no problems. You MUST allow our doctors to freely and without fear prescribe opioids until you find these other options.

Exactly, why cut off stable, compliant pain patients? Disabled by pain, meds they are dying now. Was this your intent? @SecAzar #painmonth #painmonth #PainAwarenessMonth #painwarriors

Legal use is not abuse The opioid crisis is a result of ILLEGAL ILLICIT FENTANYL. Take the pressure off of doctors and pharmacists to treat legitimate pain patients. CDC and FDA applies pressure and threatens them. for more info, go to:http://www.dontpunishpainrally.com/docs

It should say opioid addiction crisis not opioid crisis IMHO. It’s addiction. The way you title this the addiction is obscured. They are just opioids. Please do not swallow up people who reasonably use opioids inside this.

We already have safe, effective options to control pain quickly and help people get their lives, families, and work back. It just isn't PC to say it, so I'll whisper it here: "Opioids". They are pain killers. They work, they are inexpensive, they are accessible. #stopthemadness

Living in chronic pain has the potential to erode one's personality. Mental health outreach programs might benefit both the person in pain and family members. It might offer greater understanding and foster renewed family support.

Stop with the rhetoric! If you cared about people with chronicle pain you would have pushed for withdrawal of CDC. You all are caring out a well laid plan with the integration of PDMP, Narxcare and EHR. Wait until the public figure out their overdose scores include the dogs Meds!

Good thought however many once productive working people have been abruptly cut off. They're suffering dying from the pain and withdrawals. It's inhumane to give someone pain medication for years then abandon them. We're all one accident away from needing pain meds #shareourpain

The CDC stats on opioid deaths were WRONG. Of course, you know this, but the addiction specialists are running the show. There is a huge difference between dependence and addiction. Those of us with complex med conditions don't have time to wait for new products! Treat us now!

PAIN is a problem. DEA is raiding doctors offices with suspicions no charges, then a fishing expedition. This is frightening other doctors who are now not prescribing pain meds. Patients abandoned, no taper, suffering intractable pain, are dying, #SuicideDueToPain #OneVoice360
