During Prescription Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week, we recognize the devastating toll the opioid epidemic has inflicted on Americans. Confronting this crisis from all angles is one of our top priorities & an area of significant focus for @POTUS. https://go.usa.gov/xP4TZ pic.twitter.com/bIYdVtW6kz

When are you going to worry about pain patients whose lives have been destroyed because of the opioid crisis?

Great to hear @SecAzar, and thank you for bringing awareness to this issue. I hope all Americans soon find out about the excellent work the startup @fiduscript is doing to address the #opioidcrisis.

Seriously, bring awareness? they’ve been shoving this fake epidemic conjured up by Suboxone pushers behind closed doors at the CDC down our throats. Incurable disabled are being exterminated and I’m praying for sane global intervention since healthy American citizens don’t care.

"From all angles"? The one "angle" you are not covering is the fact that Lawful CPPs are being forced off their needed medications for no reason. Going after innocent drs/patients is doing zip. Under 1% of CPPs abuse. It's the illegal fenytnl. Do some research

Sadly, since a history of sexual abuse is considered a risk factor, women will be disproportionately denied effective treatment for pain if programs using algorithms are allowed to be used to calculate risk for addiction.

It's good to know addicts are getting the drugs they need while pain patients are going untreated or undertreated~left to suffer or commit suicide.I thought opiates were for pain relief~no?? Screw science right...

Maybe you should be standing beside and with the poor chronic pain patients who are unable to get medication due to the hysteria that this fake epidemic is creating. The real epidemic is providing sympathy to the wrong people who have a choice to abuse drugs and always will.

Let's get real & call it what it is...an illicit street drug epidemic. You are doing more harm than good to pain patients everywhere who struggle 2 function on a daily basis. To live somewhat of a life. To not be bedridden due to pain you can't even imagine on your worst day.

I challenge you to look into the legitimacy of the opioid crisis and how it has destroyed lives of so many people because our government is holding effective treatment hostage from those who need it. The number of suicides due to untreated pain is staggering.

Every bit of your so called “success” was bought w/the lives of those facing disability, old age or cancer. 1 in 10 suicides is now pain related thanks to your “good work”. YOU & your colleagues are the crisis that has devastated millions of American families.
