In our continued efforts to cut the cost of Rx drugs for American patients, I’m asking @SeemaCMS to examine how Part D plans can further encourage the use of low-cost generics instead of expensive branded products especially when multi-source generics are available.

You don't need to examine anything. It is Econ 101. Eliminate PBMs and allow the government to negotiate prices. Pretending that there is any other effective way is disingenuous! Today would be a good day for you to release a report on how many children have been reunited with their parents. The longer they are separated, the greater the damage done.

PBMs took over the roles of Part-D plans. PBMs are dangerously consolidating and monopolizing. PBMs have egregious conflicts of interest. Simple solution would be to dismantle PBM monopoly and reset them back to processors of Rxs. Conversation can then shift to Plan-D insurances.
