Secretary Alex Azar Retweeted Donald J. Trump

America has a long history of supporting mothers and breastfeeding around the world and is the largest bilateral donor of such foreign assistance programs. Those unable to breastfeed shouldn't be stigmatized; they should be equally supported with info and access to alternatives.https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1016367395294908421 …

    Secretary Alex Azar added,

    Donald J. TrumpVerified account @realDonaldTrump
The failing NY Times Fake News story today about breast feeding must be called out. The U.S. strongly supports breast feeding but we don’t believe women should be denied access to formula. Many women need this option because of malnutrition and poverty.

The US has a poor record of supporting American mothers to breastfeed. Formula in hospitals, no paid leave policies, & more. Wake up. This country is not the healthiest & has such poor health indicators for mothers & children among wealthy nations. Stances like this make it worse

America has a long history of supporting companies that can in turn make the Government agencies more dough 💰. Gov. WIC programs & financial interest in companies that make Similac Nestle Good Start are factors. Breastfeeding not corporate feeding.

World Health Assembly in no sense stigmatizes women who cannot breastfeed it merely restates a preference for children's health. You have shown where your allegiance lies: with corporations, not babies.

Many mothers who can't breast feed due to physical reasons or malnutrition also often can't afford formula. Especially formulas for infants with allergies or digestive disorders like celiac disease. Want to help? See that those prices are very low. That formula is very expensive!

3000 children still separated, 100 under 5 (including 19 whose parents have been deported!!). @SecAzar , @SecNielsen , Jeff Sessions, hell even Rick Perry and Ben Carson - these people don't give a damn about human rights, or else they would have resigned weeks ago.

America has a short history of separating children from their parents at the border - where are you on the reunification process? Seems your own attorneys don't know where the children and/or parents are. Only identified 100 of 3,000. More important than DJT's tweets.

"America has a long history of supporting mothers and breastfeeding around the world ". This after separating breastfeeding mothers from their babies, because they dared to escape for their lives to the United States. What used to be the greatest country in the world.

Stigmatized? @SecAzar is an asshole. This did nothing of the sort, but then again, this is the same man likely to defy the Court orders to reunite immigrant children with their parents, and his actions caused drug prices to increase not fall so his word is completely worthless.

Conflating and muddling is what @realDonaldTrump and you do best. NO ONE is "stigmatizing" any women here. The point being that Trump's 'Art of The Deal' is all about making money for formula manufacturers, who will throw money his way for his 're-election'.

Yeah, right. Because formula companies have “not” been telling mothers for decades that their formula is healthier for their baby than their own milk. Hmm. Who’s stigmatizing? Alas, as if you actually care about mothers and babies. We’re waiting for you to prove us wrong.

Trump Administration behavior was disgusting. Are you not working on reuniting kids? I my experience most animal shelters are better at tracking dogs than HHS is in tracking toddlers.
