Combating the opioid crisis is a top priority at HHS. New @OIGatHHS data show some positive results. @CMSGov and @CDCgov efforts like new prescriber guidelines are helping in the continued fight against opioid misuse. https://go.usa.gov/xUrDQ  pic.twitter.com/vQ99GyUjmJ

You do realize suboxone which your dept tries to push as a substitute sub for opioids is also addictive with chance of overdose right? It’s called continuing education

Not to mention it costs a lot more. But people have stock in it.. Wink wink... So there might be a conflict of interest driving this. Otherwise the unimaginable wouldn't be happening in the US. Torturing patients with deaf politicians running the show. When it makes no sense...$$

What is your definition of "overprescribing"? Using dosage alone as a proxy for non-therapeutic prescribing is state-sponsored disability discrimination. Doctors who specialize in rare painful incurable disease, by necessity, prescribe more opioid medication at higher doses.

What you're doing now is creating nightmares for patients with #intractablepain to get the #opioids they need to not live in perpetual misery! You're #ignoring the #thousands of #suicides by #chronicpain patients who are no longer able to access the medicines or doses they need!

An Ohio doctor denied a dying college professor an opioid prescription for her stage 4 cancer. Yet there was a 7th illicit street drug OD in a very short time of a young person this week. Prescriptions aren't causing ODs! Patients pain is now so under treated they die by suicide!

This is so dangerous. Legitimate pain patients will SUFFER. A government that controls medical treatments or cessation of medical treatment has crossed the line into tyrannical. Pressuring Drs to leave people suffering, who were once given function back by opioids, is inhumane.

Theres no over prescribing happening in fact its at aall time low. I know this because I see a lot of CPP suffer due to it. I seen documentaries with drug dealers thanking ppl like you for giving them more customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves. No one is buying your lies

That's okay, but let the Dr and patient decide! Only the Dr can weigh BENEFIT:RISK. Letting insurance or govt decide is crazy! Some tortured pts legitimately need these medicines. Only a Dr can know. Educate patient then get consent. Alcohol kills more and we let people decide.

What you are doing is getting in between doctor and patient, making those suffering from cp into criminalize and shaming them. This is NOT due to doctor or CPP. You are harming.

What are your plans to deal with the underprescribing of pain medication for those who actually need it to function? We’re sick of being treated like criminals just because we depend on medication to live a halfway decent life.
