We use DCM, ACN and other solvents quite often. Did the incident turn that way because of blood coming into contact with DCM? I don’t think DCM spill on dry skin would turn that way. Please elaborate. Thanks for sharing.

DCM on skin would remove greasy stuff and leave it extra dry. DCM in your flesh would create a rapid osmotic change and cells just explode.

why stitches? necrotic tissue clean-out and skin grafting? or just skin re-placement?

Stitches were needed where the flash was cleaned up then kept in place. Sorry for the non technical words from an org chemist.
