Records show that the city of Seattle carried out more than 900 sweeps in 2022. That averages out to more than two-and-a-half sweeps PER DAY. And the vast majority of them were done without any prior notice to residents. reports.

Organizers in Renton are working to build off the success in Tukwila last year and raise the minimum wage. The labor council endorses this campaign because it would give a raise to thousands of workers in Renton and lift standards for the people who need it most.
