There will be times when ST must close for maintenance. We carefully weigh how to minimize the worst impacts to riders. But we need more ways to get the word to more people faster/earlier on unavoidable impacts. As a daily transit rider, I’m open to constructive messaging ideas.

And it’s critical that the impacts to riders are minimized as much as possible. That means a frequent/legible bus bridge. Sounds like this weekend was a failure on that front. Solving that and solving the all night service break are kind of the same problem.
This was actually (IMO) why the team was late in messaging. They were working very hard to get more frequency on the Shuttle service right up to the last minute. I think we waited too long in hopes of better frequency.

Yeah, the root issue is that a Link shuttle doesn’t existing in normal ops. It’s a longer term solution - but a 24/7 Link Shuttle solves a lot of rider issues (I missed the last train, what do I do?) and would make mitigating closures less painful.
