Heads-up Ballard residents: Hydrant use due to today's fire on Market St. may result in discolored water in homes and businesses around the area. Discolored water comes from internal pipe rust and sediment getting stirred up.

Shoutout to whoever dug this fabulous channel in the snow on NW 85th St. so that melting ice and snow can drain into the storm drain! Is snow/ice clogging your local storm drain? Grab a shovel and clear it away!

"While some personal wipes are labeled as "flushable", they are actually quite destructive to your sewer line. The result can be quite expensive for homeowners." Thanks & @AmityAddrisiK5 for shedding some light on this issue! #wipesclogpipes

A win for community and the environment! SPU and launched a new food rescue program that gathers and donates unsold edible food to local food banks. This keeps good food out of the landfill, a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.

Happy #NationalCatDay to all you cats and kittens. Does your cat drink from the faucet? We can't say we blame them. With two large watersheds that supply quality drinking water to 1.4 million people, we have some of the cleanest water in the nation.
