I mean you have to tell yourselves that. If you were just keeping kids out of school for more money that would make you terrible people wouldn’t it? If you win your concessions you won’t need to negotiate for “years to come” right? Can you guarantee that?

You’re likely fighting to make improvements for folks in your union, not for students.
If students parents paid union dues then they would perhaps see real improvement in the education.
