    should be a lightbulb moment for and the entire shipping industry. As many as 10,000 containers are lost overboard yearly, each a potential ticking time-bomb. With seaborne trade growing at a terrific rate - more needs to be done to prevent this happening again.

    One of the main justifications for a recreational bluefin tuna fishery was to tag and release the fish to find out why they have returned to UK waters. We now know it is due to the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO).

    How far does debris from a cargo spill travel? For years, we have been mapping where 1000s of HP cartridges from a container loss have washed up. Cartridges have been found as far afield as the US, Bermuda & Norway as well as numerous countries in between.
