Indeed. To be fair, there are real 21st century issues at play and serious problems to be solved. But a lot of money is made by people whose only job is convincing you everything is terrible and making you angry about it.

If you want to be convinced that literally everything is terrible, people will happily sell you that message.

This is twice as much as I made per hour working at WSYR-TV out of college.

The Five Guys on the Syracuse University campus is hiring, and they’re paying $17.85 per hour. That works out to $37K per year. Attention local TV station managers: If you are looking to hire our graduates, are you paying better than Five Guys?

Friday afternoon weather video for #RVA. Saturday is the nicer day this weekend, but Sunday won't be bad. And snow stock for next week is down, but not out.

There is always new information coming in, and we get big waves of weather data 2x each day. It is too early to lock in to anything specific, but check back on the forecast 1-2x a day, as it will evolve. For now, I use this analogy: There is a disturbance in The Force. (2/2)

10:30am ET Friday. A quick thought on snow potential next week in #RVA Yes... I think this is the best shot so far this winter for measurable snow: in the late Wednesday-late Thursday window (1-2 Feb) But confidence level is middling right now on timing, amounts, etc. (1/2)

Going back to 1930, when observations started on the east side of #RVA (airport), also shows the decline. Black line is the 30 year running average. That number hovered around 80 or so through the mid 1990s, but has been declining since. The most recent 30-year average is 66.

Concur with my weather brother in the #Roanoke Valley. And the winter has not been that much different in #Richmond either. Just wet. No snow. At least there has been no significant ice here (yet).

Many types of weather have a fan club, even things that don’t appeal to many like ice storms and heat waves. I’m not aware of any mid-upper 30s and rain fan club, what this winter has been best at for Southwest/Southside Va.
