As the article pointed out, MFA is not a winning issue. It’s the main issue that is tanking Warren. As a a Democrat I would LOVE to see Medicare for all, but independents and blue collar Dems just aren’t there. The proof is in the polls. Candidates pushing MFA are struggling.

Seems like people get all rankled about the specter of changes to private insurance, and did get rankled about ACA causing change in equilibria. In practice, a robust public option is going to reconfigure the entire market anyway and people will complain, but it polls well…

So maybe a robust public option is the way to go? Note most public option proposals are weak as far as benefit goes. Warren’s may be an exception.

I am annoyed because $2k per month with high deductibles in private, non bought out practice, is not sustainable for my family or my employees. In GA, metro ATL. Kaiser is really the only option here and it's not convenient for the massive majority who need it.
