You know YouTube is broken when it demonetizes extremely helpful and informative videos like this. These kind of videos help a lot of people, including myself. It's not fair.

It doesn’t change the fact the video is helpful. They just won’t be able to make money off this video. It will still show up in searches like normal

Oh I know, I still feel that the videos are helpful, I just wish that they would allow the creators to reap some of the rewards of their work. They work hard to give us this kind of quality content.

Unless you’re pulling a lot of views the money is minimal. I see where you’re coming from but this email is an automated email. They have a support team that can make videos monetized that got deemed incorrectly.

This email was after I submitted a claim for review, and YouTube has no incentive to promote videos that do not have ads on them, and they don't.

Why would they have no reason to promote it? Content that drives viewers and they subscribe to you would give you more views on videos that are monetized

That's exactly the problem, that's what we all want to know

The thing is, it’s not going to get less views though. It’s just not going to gain them money for posting their video. Makes me wonder if they are in it for the money or to spread a message?

Well this video is currently at 44k views in 2 days and her videos generally get 130k+ with the occasional high view video (most have click bait titles). To say the least, her viewership is not getting effected.

You're wrong, Youtube rate videos from G to Mature. The ratings main purpose is to limit promotion through recommended and searches. Leaked documents by Wired show that violence and sexual references will classify a video mature, thus censored. Sexual assault is exactly thatpic.twitter.com/hJEGjJB9g9

Here's the link to the wired report talking about the evaluation process: https://www.wired.com/story/youtube-mechanical-turk-content-moderation-ai/ … The ratings can be found on this Google adwords help page under "Digital content labels" https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3306596?hl=en … You can find a recap on Pewdiepies channel https://youtu.be/4pvJLVKqrR8?t=7m17s …pic.twitter.com/kpL4xeAueV
