Seeing a lot of people treat some smashers like celebs. Don't let the follower count confuse you. We're still real people. I myself treat every person the same. If you treat me like a celeb then I'll treat you like a fan. Say something dumb and I'll ignore you. I respond to all.
Some smashers do ACT like a celebrity though. I will say that not everyone who has a high follower count or is amazing at smash is innocent. No matter what, these people owe you nothing. Everyone pays to do what they want. No one player pays more to enter a tourney than another.

I always tell people that top players are average guys just like anyone. They just have more eyes on them and play the game well. That said some people just have no sense of boundaries for a player after they've lost.
