    I heard a story about a visitor to a Donegal Gaeltacht scoil who introduced himself to the kids as "Aaron Dunne". The little Irish speakers understood his name as meaning "arán donn", and had a great big laugh at his expense. c.f. "Tommy Bread", "Liam Flag", etc.
