Polynesian S-p is an illusory sp.-even if located is difficult to photograph bopping up & down randomly along crests of waves. One of my 2019 goals was to get decent images of this sp. Well Marotiri is the place, see Bob Flood's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5pG1OQ0VfM … https://twitter.com/hashtag/OceanBirdGuide?src=hashtag_click …pic.twitter.com/2DXHAVT0AY

Tahiti Petrel from the same chumming session as Bob's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGenYnVpVRU …. Relatively common in parts of French Poly- the only Pseudobulweria that isn't "Critically Endangered". Listed as "Near Threatened"populations definitely on the decline.

Gadfly petrels never cease to amaze me! This cool new paper by
@Atlant_Migrants@OlliePadget out in@RSocPublishing ProcB shows that prevailing wind patterns shape ocean-basin scale foraging movements of Desertas petrels https://bit.ly/35VTdxm#MovementEcology#seabirdspic.twitter.com/nh3mJghef5

Re: 1998 Devon Bird Report, on 07/09/98 it states a new Balearic Shearwater passage record of 78! This record has been broken time and time again, and 20 years later 610 (c8x the 1998 number) at Start Pt on 18/09/18. A declining species increasing in our waters!

Shoalstone, also quiet with 10 Great Northern Divers, perhaps numbers building again in this next storm. Beware Shoalstone carpark has a number plate camera now so you need to pay if parking inside, as
@Exmoorbirder found out to his cost (£30), the road is free this time of year!Hvala. Twitter će to iskoristiti za poboljšanje vaše vremenske crte. PoništiPoništi -
Berry Hd, very quiet today despite excellent conditions with near gale SSW, few birds but 10+ Harbour Porpoise. Very few Fulmars moving and this is coming to the time of year with an increased chance of a 'blue' one. The best I saw here was this 'double dark' corker on 29/01/09!pic.twitter.com/WV3TO6mLZ8
