Gotta give it to Sony vegas they have basic versions for under 100$ (or free;)
What's a good affordable video editing software these days? Gonna restart making videos for a portfolio and movie maker doesn't cut it

If you can afford it, Adobe Creative Cloud is a lot of bang for your buck. Industry standard video editing software, and loads of other bits thrown in. It’s a couple hundred pound a year though.
