In America, we prefer our history to be whitewashed & free of anything that makes us feel second best or guilty.

In history we went through it at least twice; in German we talked about it when we read short stories and poetry.

In English we read Morton Rue's THE WAVE. When Schindler's List came out, our teacher took us to the cinema to watch it.

i'm doing Nazi Germany (UK GCSE) and it's fascinating but scary... it's interesting to think of how it's taught in germany

I was slightly horrified when I heard how it is taught in other countries. "This could only happy in Germany," is not a good way
