Not everything needs to be privately owned. We need to be more open to public assets like housing, banks, electric/water utilities, broadband, healthcare, etc. The private sector has a big role to play. But we shouldn’t be closed off to public options. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/06/opinion/sunday/public-option.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share …

Agreed! There are also community owned/cooperative options that have filled market gaps for generations and are worth exploring.

Government ownership is not “free”. Who pays for the corruption and inefficiency when things go wrong? In private business, the penalty is bankruptcy. Government continues on and on and steals from the people.

Public options for healthcare are doomed to fail. Only a single payer system will work Senator Wiener https://splinternews.com/a-public-option-isn-t-good-enough-1832011806 …

Government at any level IS NOT SUITED to do what your are suggesting. Please stop trying to replace things that work with ideas that sound good (ht to Thomas Sowell). We can’t afford such nonsense.
