Less noticed yesterday, the Chair of the Appropriations Committee killed my bill, SB 48, to streamline emergency shelters & navigation centers. There are entire CA counties w zero shelter beds & others that put shelters in industrial zones. Where are the homeless supposed to go?

How about some stats on the homeless programs that have been receiving $100M’s of funding per year, Scott? Any positive results to share with us? Or, will the fact these programs actually make thing worse be used (yet again) to justify their continued expansion?

It’s mostly people who grew up in California who have now been priced out of even the most basic housing options like SROs. When it costs $1000/mo just to rent a basic room in California, massive homelessness is inevitable.
