Small & family businesses are the engine room of Australia & we’re backing them every step of the way as part of our plan for a stronger economy. We’re investing $100m to set up the Australian Business Growth Fund, giving them more access to finance to help them grow.pic.twitter.com/AjbfSQKYFz

Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Just to clarify - would some of these small and family businesses who are getting this tax break also some of the same businesses who didn't pay staff penalty rates over Easter? I mean.....fair suck of the sav.

One thing that would help small businesses is to stop forcing us to pay taxes quarterly in advance on projected income, rather than actual.

Hm, ColesWorths tomatoes are inedible watery styrofoam anyway. They'd be a ripoff at 1c a kilo. Don't get me wrong, $9.90 is obscene but don't you have anywhere that actually sells good produce? Everything at ColesWorths that isn't pre-packaged or made overseas is garbage.

Sadly no such thing as a “Fruit shop” or “Greengrocer” in this neck of the woods ... we’re held to random by the profiteering Corps
-
Damn, that really sucks, when there's no competition. I'm lucky enough to be able to avoid the stupormarket duopoly - who exploit our farmers for all they can.

Are these the same small businesses that were going to increase their staff and/or hours when you cut penalty rates? How's that working out?
-
Are you aware what the casual rates are ? Easter Saturday - $54.05 Sunday -$40 Easter Monday $54.05 How was your Easter ?

family businesses only employ friends and family. Those type of businesses don't employ random people. It doesn't help 90% of unemployed who have parents, other family members or friends that don't own and operate a business so they can start a career.
