The remarks by Senator Fraser Anning blaming the murderous attacks by a violent, right-wing, extremist terrorist in New Zealand on immigration are disgusting. Those views have no place in Australia, let alone the Australian Parliament.

Am constantly monitoring the unfortunate situation in Uttarakhand. India stands with Uttarakhand and the nation prays for everyone’s safety there. Have been continuously speaking to senior authorities and getting updates on NDRF deployment, rescue work and relief operations.

Australians have woken in shock and sadness to the awful news of the death of Shane Warne, aged just 52.
Shane was one of our greatest cricketers of all time, one of only a few that could approach the extraordinary achievements of the great Don Bradman.
I'm horrified by the reports I’m following of the serious shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand. The situation is still unfolding but our thoughts and prayers are with our Kiwi cousins.
Bob Hawke was a great Australian who led and served our country with passion, courage, and an intellectual horsepower that made our country stronger.
He was true to his beliefs in the Labor tradition and defined the politics of his generation and beyond.
We’re backing Australian businesses to the moon, and even Mars, and back! Today we signed an agreement that will see and the working together.

A heartfelt thank you to all those working or serving their country this Christmas, whether it's our amazing volunteer firefighters and emergency services workers, our Defence Force personnel overseas, or those helping those less fortunate in their communities.

An honour to be hosted at a state dinner by & the First Lady. The Rose Garden, where the dinner was held, was decked out in colours of green & gold & topped off with an amazing performance of Waltzing Matilda. America is a great friend (& Jen looked awesome!).
My concern about today’s incident in Albury was for the older lady who was knocked off her feet. I helped her up and gave her a hug. Our farmers have to put up with these same idiots who are invading their farms and their homes.
Like most parents I was sickened by Al Bayati’s despicable crime. He's not only committed an appalling crime against an innocent child, but against the country that gave him refuge & a new life. He has no place in Australia.

Australia and Japan have never been closer, and this is significantly due to the humility and sincerity Shinzo Abe has displayed. I’ll never forget laying a wreath side by side with him at the Darwin Cenotaph as we remembered those killed in the Japanese bombing raids on Darwin.
Congratulations and Carrie on the birth of your baby boy. Nothing better than being a dad, an absolute blessing and even more so after the tough time you’ve had recently. Sending you and Carrie our best wishes from Australia.

Tonight I tested positive to COVID-19.
I am experiencing flu-like symptoms and will be recovering over the next week.
I had tested myself daily since Sunday, including this morning, with all tests returning a negative result.
Thanks to PM Shinzo Abe of Japan for a very warm Leaders’ meeting this evening. We have developed a very strong relationship over the last two years. We’re closely aligned in values and on our approach to the many post-COVID challenges, especially in our Indo-Pacific region.
Shocked & terribly saddened by the awful loss of Sir David Amess, stabbed & killed in the UK while doing his job, serving his local community as an MP. Our deepest sympathies & condolences to , all his colleagues in the UK Parliament & Sir David’s family & friends.

Wonderful to welcome our good friend and great neighbour President from Indonesia. After lunch the Governor-General took the President on a Roo tour where we spotted quite a few. We’ll be catching up for an informal dinner tonight before official engagements tomorrow.

I condemn the violent, extremist, right-wing terrorist attack that has stolen the lives of so many innocent New Zealanders as they went about their peaceful practice of worship at their mosques in Christchurch today.
Deeply saddened to learn of the death of 3 people in the crash of a C130 fire fighting aircraft, north east of Cooma in NSW earlier today. My deepest condolences to the loved ones, friends and colleagues of those who have lost their lives. Such a terrible tragedy.
The App we are working on to help our health workers trace people who have been in contact with coronavirus will not be mandatory.

Today I gave each of my Ministers a lapel pin with the Australian flag on it. I’ve been wearing this for many years now. The reason I wear it is because it reminds me every single day whose side I’m on. I’m on the side of the Australian people.
