OK, maybe I can move my platter HDD into a 5.25" bay with an adapter, remove the 3.5" drive cage entirely, and then my too-long GPU will be able to go in the high-speed PCIe slot instead of the one that's running at x1 because there's a wifi card in another slot (??!?)

and I recently blasted the hell out of everything in the case with a fresh can of compressed air, so my beleaguered old R9 290X has been a little more stable the last few days.

but I'd really like to get a 1660S, which performs better AND draws half as much power AND is a much physically smaller card, but that's a GPU that _should_ cost $250 at retail, so no way in hell am I paying the current going $600+
