Fixed up the bedroom with brand new sheets, the bathroom with brand new towels, cleaned everything, got tons of recycling to the depot, fixed a roasted beet salad, seared marinated flatiron steak, roasted eggplant, braised chard with shallots, and fresh sourdough for dinner.
Partner got home this evening from a month away on a much needed but stressful visit with family, and it's important to make her feel good to be home.
