Indoor cats 1) live longer and 2) aren't killing billions of birds every year. This should be enough for people.

"I let my cat outside and it didn't come back/got injured/got sick" oh really.

Imagine trying to make this argument about dogs. Yeah I'm sure my dog would have a great time if she could free roam in our neighborhood. She'd also get hit by a car immediately, or eat garbage and get sick, or get into a fight with another dog and lose.

I had people laugh at the idea of their precious cat eating garbage outside. Buddy, if you are letting your cat supplement their diet with outdoor hunting I assure you that they are going for the quick and easy meal, which is in the trash can.

"But there are no predators in my area!" I'm sorry. You'll need to be sitting down for this one. Cars are apex predators.

"But my cat will be unhappy and upset if I don't let them outside!" Toddlers are also unhappy and upset if you don't let them do dangerous shit.
