it's not just not bad, but an actual positive good, for adults to be able to engage with relative safety in various forms of sexual activity and expression, alone or involving other adults, on the internet, and for them to have the option to be paid for that work if they want.

the mainstream porn industry has a very bad history of being abusive and exploitative, and also of catering almost exclusively to the assumed tastes of a narrow segment of the population, who just happen to be the same demographic as the people in power in the industry.

platforms like onlyfans, as flawed as (I assume) it is, give people who choose to engage in sex work more options for controlling what they do, and how they present and profit from their work; an option outside the hierarchical and exploitative industry.
