man. I understand why getting covid boosters for adults approved is probably bureaucratically way easier—it's already established as safe, etc.—but it really seems like it should be a much lower priority than, you know, getting children some fucking protection
I know the studies are ongoing, but didn't the AAP call on the FDA to issue an EUA early, because of how dangerous Delta is?

I get why the requirements for child approval are so stringent though. There’s a history of problems they don’t want to repeat. Yes, smallpox & polio problems were manufacturing problems not testing failure, but the first rotavirus vaccine seems like inadequate testing.
