Really not on board with “faggot” being called “the f slur” but also we could avoid that if the straights would just stop saying faggot in the first place

In general I think bowdlerizing slurs makes them more, not less, powerful and the n word is the one word that has earned said bowdlerization given the extensiveness of its grotesque and violent history

I'm curious, not arguing—my own thoughts aren't fully settled on this—what do you think about editing out vowels, e.g. "f*g" instead of "the f slur"?
