there is a FUNDAMENTAL moral obligation for ALL people, INCLUDING fully vaxed otherwise non-elderly adults, to take all feasible protective measures, including avoiding crowds, staying home as much as possible, and when not at home, wearing masks indoors.

everyone in power knew how bad this could be and what we needed to do to prevent it, and instead just fucking let it happen, because letting stocks go down and making rich people pay taxes wasn't acceptable.
the official current worldwide covid death toll is around 4 million, but if the US undercount is 50% we have to assume it's at least that bad everywhere else, which means probably at least 6 million people worldwide have died due to the covid pandemic.

That “just as well as” may be less than robustly supported - it’s from a mouse study that didn’t use mRNA vaccines to compare vaxxed/unvaxxed. HOWEVER, “less infectious” isn’t “not infectious” and there’s still a pre-symptomatic infectious period, so MASKS ON.
