I think a curfew is different, in that it's limited to certain hours. A true "lockdown", which some countries did do, wouldn't just be at night.

yeah, I had a friend who was in NZ last March and stayed there. And I read about France’s restrictions, which even kept people out of public parks…which in hindsight might not have been the best strategy, given the reduced risk outdoors vs indoors.
