That said, I was mostly comfortable doing that specifically because I live in a place with high vaccination rates and where people have been dutifully masking up. If I lived where most people were still unvaccinated…probably never would have stopped masking

Same. I kept wearing masks to the grocery store, target, etc., even when cases were at their lowest in MA. I did feel pretty safe going to bars for a few weeks while positive test rates were way under 1%, but that's over again now.

Yeah. I did still wear one to busy stores, generally. But damn…those couple of times I got to go to a restaurant were clutch

We never made it to a restaurant or bar or a movie theater and the college kids start arriving in the next 2 weeks :/

I had that same few weeks and visited some restaurants I’d really missed. If I’d known it would go away this fast I’d have eaten MORE restaurant meals.
