I worry that, because public health communication has been of, shall we say, mixed quality, there'll be a widespread perception that the government swung rapidly from "if you're vaxed, the pandemic is over for you" to "hey, we never said it'd stop you from getting SICK"
and that will do a lot more damage to already-weakened public trust in institutions
