I promise people walking around topless or in just bras in a sweltering New York July aren't doing it AT you. Try just not being weird about other people's bodies!

I read this one and it had like one line about climate change EVEN THO that seems like the main story here?? I mean sure, fashion changes and people are def walking around more nudely, but this could have been put way better.
-
Right? Global warming means summers are hotter than ever, and they were ALREADY brutal in NYC; and on average millennials and genzers don't feel as much need to be weird about other people's bodies as former generations did. That's fine! Get with the times, pops!

I assumed this was heading for how climate changes means changing our Puritan qualms about bodies. But nope, went the completely wrong direction.

That would have been the reasonable direction to go with it! But no, it's all "what ever happened to dressing UP to go out in the big city??"

It's weird as hell when you realize the past 150 years have been all about enclosing people in the private sphere : music, entertainment, hygiene, cooking... all used to be public activities. It's high time we do things TOGETHER again.

Yep, it's real annoying being told to put on a shirt when it's over 100 in the freaking shade, FFS 'my bare chest is not gonna turn you gay dude'.
