I have decided that getting that cheap little plug-in battery-powered headphone practice amp for my cheap tele knockoff was a good idea. practicing is always kind of tedious, but it's so much more rewarding when you can make it sound big and loud without actually bothering anyone

this one purports to replicate the sound of a Vox AC30 but although I'm no expert on that particular amplifier, I'm skeptical that it's really very authentic. But it overdrives pretty good when you turn the gain up, and it has a couple other built-in effects I don't really use.

the manual says it has two levels of tremolo, and also selectable chorus, delay, or reverb. but it sounds fine through the cheap earbuds with just the overdrive.

(I would like to own an actual AC30 someday, though, probably. they're swell.)
