"Voter ID" is a poll tax and thus unconstitutional. Instead of making it harder even for citizens to vote, Massachusetts should lead by ceasing to deny 16- and 17-year-olds, and all non-citizen residents, their fundamental right to consent to the government under which they live.

If just government is derived from the consent of the governed, then anyone who is societally considered competent to consent (which is a complicated question!) and is subject to the law, must have an equal say in the government or it's by definition unjust.
