used the free version of macrium reflect to clone the old C: onto the new SSD and it was shockingly painless

still not used to how fast this old machine boots now. you mean I can sit down and push the power button and just thirty seconds or so later my browser tabs are already all loaded?? wild.

I was amazed how quickly my machine boots and stuff loads after I converted to SSD.

this is a 500GB WD Blue SN550 that I bought when it was on sale, uh…eight months ago. and it sat in its box on my desk. whoops! so I'm glad I finally remembered to do something with it.
