it's so gross. it's dishonest and privileges his ~artistic vision~ for the documentary over any ethical consideration of the long-term ramifications of making it acceptable to use this kind of tech.

I could *almost* accept the use of the tech if they somehow indicated when it was being used within the film versus when they were using Bourdain’s actual voice. As gross as I find the practice, we at least know that a hologram of Tupac isn’t the actual rapper. Dishonest indeed.
