okay but also we are old enough that a site like "yarn dot com" is sus. I realized how old I was when Knit Picks bought "crochet dot com" a couple years ago. Like just... no, those sites are all fake!
Way back when @grammar_girl and I were going to try a skill exchange thing where she'd learn to program and I'd learn to knit, I ordered one pair of needles from them and they sent me a whole set of many different needles instead
