if I could snap my fingers and thanos one animal species out of existence, it would probably be either mosquitoes or ticks, but if I got a plant, it would DEFINITELY be black swallow-wort.

right in my immediate neighborhood we have a lot of that and a lot of tree-of-heaven, but at least we don't seem to have a big problem with Japanese knotweed. maybe the others are outcompeting it.
