it's also simply not true that "both sides do the same bullshit". there are corrupt Democrats, but the Democratic party as an institution doesn't openly embrace corruption the way the Republican party does.

"some Republicans do bad* things and some Democrats do bad things, therefore Democrats and Republicans are the same" is so unnuanced and simplistic that it crosses the line into naked disingenuousness.
(*"bad" here meaning "other than their attempts via legal and procedural channels to implement right-wing policy," which is _also_ bad but a separate kind of bad)
