I hate that not even jetblue includes a checked bag in their standard economy fare tier anymore. stop nickel-and-diming us!

charging for checked bags incentivizes people to try to take their oversized rolling suitcases as "carry-ons" which leads to confusion and slowdowns as there ends up not being space and they have to beg people to gate-check them.

let us check the first bag for free and charge a fee if someone's carry-on doesn't fit and has to be gate-checked, and the boarding and debarking experiences would be a million times better

I bet a hundred bucks flight attendants and gate staff would also much rather they didn't have to argue with people about the size of their suitcases or beg passengers to volunteer to gate-check their oversized bags
