I don't know as much as I should about most of the MA House, but Rep. Barber is my representative, and I've spoken with her many times over the years; and I've known Rep. Owens since we were both posters on Blue Mass Group during the Patrick administration.
I have no reason to doubt that they are sincerely committed to progressive politics and making MA the best it can be for everyone who lives here; I can't imagine either opposes ideas like vote transparency or longer to read bills, on principle. So I do wonder why the Nays.
Well, Rep. Barber is having office hours on Friday, if I can make it over there I'll ask about the rules package votes.
