for sure! I actually think all dollar amounts in employment laws should be set by formulas based on state- or even count-level statistics on cost of living, and automatically adjusted annually. but that would have complicated a pithy tweet :-)

I'm just thinking about how to do this in Boston in a way that wouldn't replicate the income restricted studio apartments that go for like 1900/month and it makes my brain hurt

Yeah, housing prices are ridiculous here for sure (I live in south Medford). A big part of it is there just needs to be a lot more housing stock available, along with vastly expanded transit. (so we also need to get rid of Baker!)
