Are "hanger" and "anger" pronounced the same way?
they rhyme (that is, the vowels are the same) but I dont' say "hanger" with the hard G sound that I say "anger" with.

(that is, assuming I'm saying "hanger" meaning "thing on or by which you hang something" rather than "hunger + anger, the noun form of hangry", because then they're exactly the same)
