last RTs: the reported MA COVID test positivity rate over the past two weeks went: 0.42% (June 15) 0.42 0.41 0.40 0.37 0.35 0.34 0.34 0.34 0.32 0.32 0.31 0.29 0.29 0.29 0.33 0.36 0.37 (July 1) that looks a lot like bottoming out and starting to trend back up, to me.

after the low of 0.29% Saturday through Monday, today the test positivity rate is up again to 0.38%, the highest since two weeks ago yesterday. It is climbing steadily.

this isn't necessarily the start of a new wave of (delta?) covid in MA, but it could be, and the sudden spike in virus detection in sewage points that way too.

That said, in absolute terms numbers in MA are still quite low, Medford and Somerville have high vax rates, and my partner and I and my parents are fully vaxed, so if this is the only week for a while that it's safe for me to visit my local pubs, at least I'm doing that.

I know that at least one person I know at Magoun's, and at least one person I know at Winter Hill, is still tending bar in each respective place, which is probably the best I could expect.
