      There are definitely some Scream homages, but nothing more overt than any other slasher movie from the past decade, imo?

      I don't think it would even be _possible_, in 2021, to make a slasher set in the '90s without it being strongly influenced by Scream, even if you didn't set out to explicitly reference it!
